As most you know, The Pacific Northwest Chapter sponsors a car show each April that benefits the Northwest Burn Foundation. What you don't know is that each year the money collected is donated in memory of someone who has recently passed away that has connections to either the PCS, Lincoln Club, other participants. One year, we honored Carolyn Coppinger. Another year, a prominent member of the Lincoln Club who supported the show financially. Another honoree was the owner of a local towing company & his son who were killed in a fiery plane crash.(That year, his other son brought 3 tow trucks to the show) This year, I chose to honor a long time family friend who recently passed away. The Northwest Burn Foundation sends a notice of the gift to the honorees family. Today, I received this note in the mail from this years honoree's family: Dear Rick; All of us were very touched to hear about your car society's gift to the Northwest Burn Foundation in Dick's memory. It makes us all feel so proud to know your good memories of Dick inspired your gift. Please pass along our sincere thanks to your friends in the Professional Car Society. We are very grateful for your thoughtfulness.....Joan Gilliland & family
