got a set of new points for the 53 so my tune up is now complete. i could not resist one more spin around the block. but we are having start up issues. if I park the car nose down or nose up on the drive way it won't start unless I prime it. park it on the level or left or right side higher it starts if it sits for a week. I'm guessing the float is set to high and it floods out. but I never had one do this to me.

Ed

You should have your own TV show !

A true reality show, not the crap on TV now.

It would sure be a funny show,
Darren

P.S. Really missed you not being at the PCS meet.
Make sure any future weddings do not interfere with the meets !

Your transmission sounds just like my 55 pontiac Barnette when you wind it up in first gear. I thought you were driving my car..I'm going to check my bumper just in case...

I remember its maiden voyage.........

Dammit all Ed.......I watched this while I was having my morning coffee. I cleaned up the whole desk yesterday (we've got company coming for the weekend), NOW I get to do it all again......I blew coffee EVERYWHER!!!!!

defiantly more fun then a barrel of monkeys. she is even licensed and insured. thinking about that first trip at my buddy's place and yesterday it is a way different car. but those old GM three speeds were like the 50's door squeak you hear it and you know it for what is is right now. I would put the exhaust on it but we haven't got the floors welded back in yet. I'll pick up the last of the plating next week. why anyone would haven't to chop the top on one of these is a mystery to me. man that is low now. not knowing who built it doesn't take the fun out of driving it any. now that the second time for that weather seal some one else living here clipped it with the 70. we are not saying who. but Mookie can't drive it's beneath him

It sounds great Ed. I have the idle on my '54 turned up so it doesn't vibrate so bad at idle. I notice yours idles fast as well. Or was it just on "hi" idle? My motor is weak with a few cyls just around the 40 to 45 psi compression. (Doing a rebuild this winter I think)
Rebuilt the rear end hub to hub last year, this spring saw the tranny getting a rebuild with 3 new u-joints and a new hanger bearing.

Love that gear whine too :)
