1927 Packard Ambulance - Detroit FD

Brant doesn't live too far from me. In 2013, I visited with him, and the car was literally disassembled in a million pieces, and spread out all over his house - garage, basement, shed, attic, yard. He had disassembled it all in the '70s, and there it all sat for so many years. I guess he finally "got it together"

Paint and Graphics

Got to wonder (WHY) they wouldn't replicate the same color scheme, striping and graphics when restoring such a historic Ambulance?? MM

The bw pictures are not known for showing up color changes. One can only guess they did it as the car represented it's self when they took it apart.

They did. Red and maroon appears to be the color scheme of DFD in that era. I know I saw some parts that had traces of the original paint. And the DFD historic engine is in the same colors.
