Olds Procar Picture Thread

With Rockys post earlier and Adams post in the Ebay thread got me thinking...why not a Olds Picture thread. I have a few pics(300+) of this lesser seen chassis. Olds hearses, combos, limos and I know of only one "vintage Olds Flower car, lets keep this thread pure Oldsmobile please.

Let the pictures begin
This 54 National was on ebay years ago...was in Montana or Utah.....where it is now is anyones guess.

The "D" pillars on this car are most unusual.

Here's one a bit older.....

I twisted the arm of Davison, Michigan funeral director James Hansen to get this photo from his collection. Walt identifies it as a 1935 Henney Progress Ambulance on Oldsmobile L-35 chassis. This car was used by the Dodds-Dumanois Co. in Flint Michigan.

I grew up in Wheaton, MD, where the local rescue squad bought several Cotner-Bevington Oldsmoble ambulances over the years. Here are some of them.

'63 CB Olds, one of a pair (a photo of this also was in a CB ad that year)
'65 CB Olds, they had one '65 and two identical '66's
'70 CB Olds, one of three

Um? Roof rack?

My favorites....

My favorites of all posted were Josh Gentry's Weller-Olds and Steve L's Weaton '65 CB-Olds Low Top. I don't think there is a more beautiful pro-car than a mid 60's CB-Olds. Our Local (Fallbrook, CA) Fire Department bought a New 1967 High-Top CB-Olds and had nearly constant rear axle bearing failures for some reason that ripped up the skirts and body every time an axle exited on it's own at high speed. They assumed it as too much weight and torque for the standard 98 Olds Axle?..... and traded it back in to the Dealer at close to what was originaly paid for it in on a New 1-Ton "MODULAR BOX" Chevy. At the time 2nd Out was a 1959 MM-Cadillac High Top and our 1954 Henney-Packard as a Reserve.

(*) Does anyone know what happened to Lou Farah's 1958 Comet-Olds shown on the rooftop of the Holiday-Inn Burbank? MM

Another 58 Comet which was owned by a friend who in the 60's had a band called the Blazers...the Blazers didnt last too long....but the friendships did.
Simple starts like this led to a producers position with Warner Brothers records and "discovering" Travis Tritt among other recording stars.
