1983 Cadillac Hearse

No table in this one. It's a stretched Sedan DeVille by either B&B or Century Coach. It's most likely a Century built in Duncanville, Texas by Andy Reed.

John, it's often hard to tell an early Century from a B&B. But, I believe that this particular car is a Century. Andy Reed worked with the guys at B&B as a salesman and the early Century cars...most of them actually, were based on B&B tooling that Andy had purchased from Wayland Bratton and Bob Bidel. As I recall, the original B&B cars made their debut in 1980 or early 1981. The people involved in the creation of these unique "Texas Bondo Sculptures" were, for the most part, all former employees of Joe Summers - a really successful former Flxible dealer and, later one of the largest Miller-Meteor dealers in the country. After Flxible exited the business at the end of 1964, Joe Summers was also responsible for the establishment of the Trinity Coach Company - that offered a range of products on the Buick chassis for about three years. How many degrees of separation were all of these guys from Summers?....not all that many.
