All: Long time PCS Member Tom Shafer was able to talk to John O'Hara who was the Owner of the Superior Bus & Ambulance Dealership in Burlingame, CA. He told Tom that they sold the 1957 F-100 Ford Panel Ambulance directly to Pacific Lumber in Scotia and they subcontracted the conversion to the A.E. Lattimore Company (a commercial body shop) in San Francisco at the time. Lattimore specialized in converting panel vans to rescues, ambulances and paddy wagons with a history way back to the late 30's. MM

Another Detail

One (possible) important detail I inadvertently left out was that in the 30's thru late 40's.... Tom said that the A.E. Lattimore Company had some kind of arrangement with Studebaker that may be the answer to the debate about the art deco side windows as Studebakers chassis in that era were used a lot for hearses and ambulances and they may have had some N.O.S. stock left over from that era?
