It's A '48

It's a 1948 Model 14894 ambulance with, what appears to be, the mirrored rear quarter ambulance glass in tact - on one side at least. Looks solid enough. Wonder what the inside looks like? Again, here's an example of someone who hasn't a clue of what year the car he's trying to sell is (or who the body builder is an well - Henry?). These 22nd Series Henney-Packards were introduced in April of 1947 as 1948 models with production of these models running through September 1948. As such, the original title could have been issued in 1947 but, it's still a 1948. Another restorable Henney worthy of being saved.

knowing the year and...

Part of the problem with the years getting mixed up on old cars is at one time there was no concensus on how to fill out a title. If a 1948 car was sold at the beginning of the model year (introduced in 47) then the title was marked
1947. Then with paperwork getting lost or not needed after some years (depends on the state) people start guessing as to what year the car is from.
This problem runs into the miniature models too. There is a resin Cadillac model on an auction right now that is listed as a 1950 Miller-Meteor. We know it is one or the other but NOT a Miller-Meteor! the first M-Ms were
1957.
