Martin,
Are these cars in Wyoming? I see that one of them still has a Wyoming license plate on it. Are you willing to share his contact info?

Oh no problem to share by PM, if someone is interested. Ed, im in touch with another guy for a '70 C/B hightop if you want. It was hard to get the contact so if it's ok I prefer to share with interested buyers... sometimes those collectors becomes upset when they receive 55 emails and 12 calls a day. I saw one that crushed 4 60's hearses just to stop receive picture request. I can share more pictures tho.

The bodies actually look pretty solid. If these are in Wyoming, they probably have very few rust issues, with the exception of floors.

Became aware of this cache several years ago. Paint has faded more since.

pretty sure that the set out on Poison Spider road in Casper Wy. I link of wanted that 72 at one time but never made it over they before they closed the yard for viewing. I gather there is some contact person around there. the web site just has a TV test pattern on it to hold the spot. they had some nice stuff dragged out and half striped. i knew it was a out of state investor didn't know it was a out of country one. here is the pictures I have of the 72
Casper is about a 4 hr run for me. i would still be interested in the 72 as I have all the parts here to put it back together. but with out a engine or tranny, they were a little high I thought. snages these pictures in september of 04

My favorite cars there are/were the '64 Crown Royale Limousine combination as well as the '58 and '67 Chevrolet/Nationals.

Talk about rare cars!! Those 1967 and 1958 National Chevrolets are exceedingly rare. Note the commercial glass on that '67 Chevy. This was built using the tooling National acquired from Flxible in 1965. The 1957 Memphian Pontiac is also a rare bird. He's got some extremely interesting cars there. Thanks for posting these. One can only hope that a fair number of these will be rescued and restored thanks to this posting.

Here is the only one he sent of that Pontiac. None from the rear compartment or door.. sorry.

Martin,
Did the owner mention what he is asking for any of these cars? Just curious as to whether he is reasonable, given their condition, or delusional.

here are the two I have off the web site.

I love it!! Someone else needs to buy it and restore it!

yes that's the part of my job I like the best. spending someone else's money.

but you can see from the two pictures how many of the cars are now gone, do my eyes deceive me or is that a Memphis name plate on that front fender. the the effect of the Wy weather on the car. hot summers cold winters and sand blown into everything. i lived about a hr south of there for 5 years of my life.

I'd agree with you about the '58 Chevy, for sure, Steve. My heart almost skipped a beat when I saw the rear of that one. The GM plant in Arlington, TX belt hundreds of '58 Chevy ambulances on the DelRay sedan-delivery platform. Hubbard-Kelly F.H. in Odessa had one which was sold to the local racetrack. When the track changed hands in '73 the new owner approached me wanting my '61 Flxette ambulance. We made a deal which included my getting the '58 Chevy in trade. I got the monetary difference from him but never the Chevy ambulance. The Flxette eventually ended up with a volunteer group in Goldsmith, TX, and I got it back from them...only for it to disappear a couple of months later. I spotted a "ringer" for it on ad somewhere online a few years ago that was in AZ near Tucson. They claimed it had been found in a field in TX. I called the people, only to be hung up on, and the ad disappeared the next day. Hmm!

GM did not build ambulances. The ambulance was built by National in Indiana. I can't say for sure but it's unlikely that National built "hundreds", probably only built "tens" of them.
