Default 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood -- 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood GHOSTBUSTERS AMBULANCE HEARSE 224

Has been on Craig's list a long time ,at least now the pics are outside and better and now on Ebay.

Yes, only 224 miles on this 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood chassis conversion by S and S Coach Company. Starting out as a ambulance conversion shipped to a ambulance company in Tustin,California. Done by S and S Coach which is known in the industry as a quality builder. The owner wanted to do extra customization, so he contracted a local Indy car builder to take on the project. What has developed is a high top fiberglass conversion with steel framing. At that point, funds were getting low and the project was put on hold. So, this project was left sitting in a indoor storage unit for years. The good news is you can take over and make this into whatever you can dream of! Ambulance, hearse, show wagon, surf wagon, movie car (Ghost Busters)..endless possibilities as the floor is wood and the rear is open for any application. The mechanics are a 244 mile car. Tried and true 5.7L V8 known for their durability. I put a new fuel pump in along with pulling the gas tank and cleaning out the old gas. New ignition module, cap and rotor and a new battery. Runs and drives perfectly. Air condition needs freon as the compressor kicks in, but blows semi cold. Power accessories work fine. Drives straight and smooth. Body is just like new, no accidents or damage and clear, clean title. Rear door has some cracks above the window. Includes a Super Chief new old school chrome siren ($2,200.00 new), new light bar, new siren, extra strobe lights and various other ambulance accessories. This draws more attention than any exotic car! You will have fun finishing up this cool car! Call Tim at 949-201-1684 with any questions..Thanks for looking and Who Ya Gonna Call! Ghost Busters!!

I have mixed feelings on this car. On one hand its awful that they gutted it and made the wacky modifications. But on the other hand, as far as modified hearses go I do find it interesting, almost nostalgic that he chose to convert it to a semi-modern hi-top ambulance.

In that respect I can almost say its kinda neat but im right in the middle between neat and abominable

the shame is in never finishing the task. to me the lines are off and the car just doesn't flow. the roof is way to high in the rear. if you cut out the raise portion that is flat dropped the rounded top down it would not have that I'm tipping over look. then will no step in the rear getting is would take leap of faith. but the discovery of it going to take just as much money to do the inside as we got into the out kind of stalled there project.

It's really freakin' cool! I wonder why it ended up with a mix of Superior and S&S labeling?

I think it looks nice, we have had the discussion here before about what it will cost to finish the thing...
But good gosh, another Ghostbusters reference in the ad? geez

These 93 to 96 Broughams are such fabulous cars, they run and drive great and I think the styling is beautiful. It has crossed my mind, that you could take a 93 to 96 hearse and do an ambulance conversion on it. Since someone has already begun that process with this car and actually started with a new one, it could really be a fabulous ambulance, when finished. Look at the perfectly straight panels on this thing. It is a bit too tall, in my opinion, unless you have a very tall garage door. But, I think this presents a true once in a lifetime opportunity, for the right person.

MY dream would be to finish this as a real S&S transport ambulance. At my age its out but boy would that be fun and you could put it to work transporting the rich and famous who don't give a damn if Medicare pays or not. They would make a statement when pulling up to rehab or the hospital.

I originally thought the same thing but I think in this case the word Ghostbusters was only there as a search term for visibility. Although if I sold my hearse, I wouldnt sell it to someone who openly wanted to make an Ecto
