I have yet to understand why people would remove the siren and not take the bracket. but it seams that is the norm.

I hate to think about how many of those, and other rare and hard to find parts for ambulances i scrapped years ago. the sound you hear is me kicking myself in the butt.

These are steel, not aluminum.

You have to remember that many of the sirens never had one of these. They either made a bracket themselves or mounted it in some kind of console. There were far more Directors and Interceptors sold than there were Federal brackets for them. Having an attached Federal bracket makes a huge difference in selling price on eBay.

each unit came from the manufacture with one.

But many were never installed and tossed in the trash immediately as they were installed in a console or the dash, etc. I follow the Interceptors and Directors on eBay and there has to be 10 or more sirens for every 1 bracket out there. Most of those on eBay do not have their factory bracket.
