Ambulance Curtain Material

After searching the forums for information on material for curtains for 1974 Sayers and Scoville Ambulance and finding nothing definitive, my sister in law armed with the 1974 curtains found the following material at JoAnn Fabric which she feels is fairly identical but a bit more stiff the the originals.

Utility Fabric
Sport Nylon White
057 IN 17336 RN35055
100% Nylon

She will be making new ones for me without damaging the old ones, which I will probably sell.

While our rig was still at the Academy, my wife purchased material at JoAnn and fashioned replacement curtains complete with the snaps. Best wishes with the restoration.

Might I suggest?

Some fabrics are see thru at night and some are not. I found that if you try fabrics out at night covering any window in a car from the inside and light the interior enough to read a fine print book, test to see if you are able to see thru them from the outside. You would be surprised some white fabrics are see thru and others totally unable to see thru.

the material I got for the 67 was more of a table cloth type then heavy drapery material. we still need to get the straight panels made up.

Curtains

I found some material for the 61 ,that I liked what I found hard was to find material that was just not one sided . I finally found some that had the design front and back .
