Here's a couple photos of a 1982 Eureka Concours Cadillac at a Lebanon, TN area funeral home. The first shot was taken about 10 years ago when the car was still in service. The second photo is as it sits present day, not for sale. :(:cry:

you got to love a man that would rather see it rot then someone else getting any use out of it. here is the 76 MM in the u-pull it yard in Oregon

Some Post War Cadillac pro-car photos taken about 10 years ago.

1. 1947-48 S&S Knickerbocker Cadillac limo style end loader, Lebanon, TN.
2. 1947-48 Meteor Landau end loader, Lebanon, TN.

Taken between 2000 and 2002.

The S&S sold at auction about five years ago.

Here is a photo taken in a Smyrna Tennessee junkyard about 10 years ago.

1966 Miller-Meteor Cadillac Classic Duplex.

This is the only M-M that I've ever seen in person with the parchment roof treatment.

Even had the factory am radio in it as well.

As posted in my other thread, a '68 M-M Volunteer ambulance, in a junkyard near Dover, PA (York Co.) awaiting crushing. No name visible but had a "York County Ambulance Association" decal in the window.

What is that?

From what I heard from one of the guys at one of the M-M reunions they took brown paper bag like material wrinkled it up and pressed it to the paint when it was about half way dried. It gave the paint a wrinkled but not crinkled appearance. And from what they said it was a real pain in tha @$$ to do too! It was only offered in the mid to late 1960's by M-M I believe.

J&J - Part I

Thanks for continuing with these amazing pictures, Steve! In the last set with the Tunnelton ambulance, there are some additional ambulances up on the hill as well. As least one of these looks to be a commercial car based ambulance. Do you recall any of the those when this picture was taken?

This trip was in May of 1987; at the time, there were at least two dozen limousine-style ambulances here (mostly rusting away). One of these days I'll start posting them in the junker thread.

Jerry Jeffries used to own J&J Ambulance Sales in Markleysburg, PA. The company is still in business but in a different location and under subsequent ownership.

All of these cars were driven to where they are seen here during the late '70s and early '80s. By the time these pictures were taken in 1987, all had become parts cars. By the very early '90s they had been crushed or otherwise disposed of.

A few of these cars, such as the '69 and both '74 Superiors, could've been driven onto a trailer with a jump start, some fresh fuel, air in the tires, and a little elbow grease. Most of them had complete interiors, many were missing their fender skirts, and a few were missing only easy-to-replace items such as beacons or beacon domes.

Note the heavily-optioned '72 in this batch; it sports a Unity RV-46 beacon (the Spitfire domes had a tendency to fade), Dietz electric spotlights on the cab, inset front tunnels to allow for the spotlights, two-tone paint, intersection lights, dual side roof flashers, and side roof signs.

There were some older cars here, as well, which had been grown over to the point of not being photographable.

This old Medic Mark I is on 309 outside of Hazleton PA. Was from Plains PA Ambulance and then used as a Pizza delivery.... Still in its present location

What year is it? Is it visible from the road (without a snow covering, that is)? I'll be in Nesquehoning in about four weeks and will look at it if I have time.
 
I visited J&J in 1989, bought a van there for my company. All of them were there at that time, as was the first ambulance I ever drove ('77 Ampar Dodge van), which I wanted to buy just for the memories. All were vehicles he took on trade and never resold. By the time I could afford to go back and get the van I wanted, 1995, they were all gone. The running vans & boxes went to a Central American wholesaler, and the rest were scrapped. Ful-Vu's and all. :4_11_9:
