1942 Henney-Packard Civil Defense Ambulance

Rare when new and even rarer today. Here's a 1942 Henney-Packard Civil Defense ambulance - the forerunner of the modern modular type - for sale in California. There were darn few of these constructed and this one, although pricy and rough, appears to be all there for the most part. One would hope that someone in the PCS would save and restore this survivor.

I don't think it's that bad. I have restored worse. The dash plastic and steering wheel looks pretty good, so I think it is very do-able. Something that rare needs restored!

I agree, and I think you're just the man for the job! And if you need the money for the project, just sell me your '41 Custom ;)

Logic?

OK it didn't sell for 3 months before for $12,500.00... so he wants 15,000.00 for it now? Even though it's VERY RARE and quite restorable from what I can tell by the pictures.... and I have done several Civil Defense Units.... the most I would pay for it is: $1,500.00.... as in take a zero off.
