Wheel Opinion

Since the only WW for the 14 are crazy money and I think it would look better with 15 inch wheels. I have some CC rims. I like the 72 Caddy wheel cover. I can leave the Caddy medallion on or try these that I found. So opinions on the Vogue tires or just a WW tire. Tires will be 235/7015,s Thanks

you are right on that picked up a set on a Christmas sale for this 64. 225/75 should be a better looking tire if you can get them. We get so use to the wide tires we forget just how skinny the origional ones were.

Wheels

I always prefer to keep things stock, personally.
I like to also but wheels are just a bolt on . I'll keep the wheels. But over $1200 dollars for four 14" WW tires Just does seem worth it.

They are out of sight same problem with the 890s.
But here i set on a nice set of 17" tires with a load rating of 2600 lb at 40 psi. Now find a steel wheel with a 5x5 bolt pattern. Let alone any kind of wheel cover. By the way a 265x17 Pirelli is a narrow tread and 30 inch diameter.

I have 5 CC wheels 5X5 . I test fitted the 235/70/15 with these rims .Works in the back have to chk the front. All the stuff I have , only will have to buy the tires.

What vintage are your CC rims?? Do you know that your '71/'72 wheel covers will stay on them?

now I got into a argument on time on a 67 comet. it had 15 inch tires on it got told in you no nothing terms that 98s came out with 15s. my 67 88 had 14s on it and they were scarce at that time. but i'm with you on this one. way out of line on that price.

Hankook's

You can get Hankook's 215/75R14 on Ebay for $232.00 a set in a white wall. I ran this size on my 66 C/B Oldsmobile combination and never had a problem.

Wheels

Thought I had 4 good covers. Need 2 good 72 Caddy covers if anyone has some to sell. Thanks

Hey Dan,
You do realize that in 1967 and 1968, Oldsmobile offered both 14" and 15" wheels with identical wheel covers offered in both sizes, correct? Why don't you just go with the 15" wheels and caps from one of those years?
